            My name is Rachel DeMarco. I am an eighteen year old from Middleton, Massachusetts.  Middleton is a small town of nine thousand people about twenty miles north of Boston. I currently attend classes here at Nichols College as a freshman. I have not yet chosen a major but I am very interested in math, education, and also hospitality management. I am one of three sisters and live with my parents in a modest colonial home. Both of my sisters are in high school. Emily is a freshman and does cheering and dance. Jessica is a junior and does club and high school gymnastics. I have always had an interest in gymnastics and cheerleading. At a very young age Jess and I joined the Yellow Jackets Gymnastics Club. This was our home gym for high school gymnastics meets and club gymnastics. We have spent many hours over the years working out at that gym. Luckily, Nichols College has a cheerleading team so I can continue with one of my enjoyable hobbies and be able to do a sport in college. This year our Nichols College cheerleading team is going to Daytona, Florida for Nationals. We have all been working really hard fundraising for the trip and have had many practices to work on our routine. I hope we do well competition wise, but I am also very excited to hangout on the beach with my team! Not only do I put my hard work into sports, but I also had two jobs this summer that kept be busy. I worked in Danvers for a company called SwerevePoint. The awesome part of this job was that I worked with my best friend, Maria. We sat together in an office and filed papers and sent out checks. We also did a lot of larger projects for the company. My second job was babysitting. I watched three younger kids, two of which were also a part of the gym I went to. They always kept me busy. From this digital applications class, I hope to learn and become more familiar with modern technology. I am also looking forward to learning how to be able to create multimedia movies. In searching for a credible blog I came across a blog about Beyonce singing at the Presidents Inauguration. I found this very interesting because there was so much talk about how fantastic she was, and she is one of my favorite artists. Come to find out as noted in The Washingtonian, she was not singing live at all. The Star Spangled Banner was prerecorded a day earlier and she lip- synced the song. She will also be singing at the Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see what she doing there. I found this blog credible because this story was all over the news and confirmed by many news stations.

My name is Mike Byrnes, I am a freshman at Nichols College, studying Finance and Sport Management. I am currently a commuter, and live in Dudley, Massachusetts. I am looking for an apartment somewhere nearby. I really want an apartment because I want to be free to do whatever I want, whenever I want. If I had an apartment, I could play music whenever I want to, have friends over whenever I want to, and could really do whatever I want. I currently live at home, and drive a 2010 Nissan Sentra, it's in great condition, it's just like new!

I have been working at Market Basket in Oxford, Massachusetts for three years now. I stock shelves and sometimes work overnight on weekends because it pays $18 per hour. I also worked at Olympia Sports in Webster, Massachusetts for  about a year, as a sales associate. I currently am the boys basketball coach at Charlton Middle School. I also work for the Central Mass Swarm AAU Program, as the 6th grade boys basketball coach. I am entering my second season with the Swarm after a successful fall season with the team. In my spare time I like to hangout with friends and play basketball.

I am looking forward to taking Digital Apps this semester, as I would like to increase my knowledge of various computer programs. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are all programs that are used in many businesses. If I can learn and understand these programs now, it will not only give me a leg up in school, but will give me an advantage in the workplace as well.

I went on the ESPN website to find a credible blog, when I discovered a blog on the Los Angeles Lakers. I know that this blog is credible because it is on the ESPN website, and they provide links. The blog on the Lakers interests me because I am a die hard Lakers fan. The blog is about how the Lakers are struggling this year, but may have found the right formula to win games. It has been made clear that the problem is not coach Mike D'Antoni. If the Lakers share the ball on offense, have a burst of energy, and work together on defense, they can beat anybody.

Hi, my name is Mandy Racicot. I am from Dudley, Mass., which is also where Nichols College is located, where I am now a freshman. At Nichols I am majoring in Hospitality and working in the dining hall. I have been working in the dining hall here since my senior year in high school, so I was very comfortable with the campus. I have worked in other places dealing with hospitality, such as catering at my high school, and working in the kitchen of a hospital when I was fourteen and fifteen. I went to a vocational high school in the next town over called Bay Path and was in the Culinary Arts department. When most people think about Culinary Arts they naturally think cooking or baking. I however, was the special case that did learn much cooking or baking when I was in Culinary. My junior year of high school I was asked if I wanted to learn our dining room instructors job, and sub for her when she was out on leave for surgery. I was then placed in the dining room officially and was teaching the underclassman and doing the paperwork that was involved with managing a restaurant. Other than working, I used to dance. I danced at a studio in Webster, Mass called Wendy's Dance Studio. I danced there from the age of three to fifteen when the studio then closed down. Dancing at Wendy's is where I met my roommate Katie. I hope to learn how to work with publisher, and make a professional PowerPoint while in this class. I hope that I will be more familiar when using a computer, and I will know how to be more efficient when using a computer and different programs. 

A blog that interests me is the So You Think You Can Dance blog. I have watched almost all the seasons of So You Think You Can Dance, and I think it is interesting to follow what the winners and past competitors are doing, as well as the other competitors. The network that the show is on puts out this blog, which is Fox. 

Picking the brain of Adam Wornham

Adam Wornham, 18, from Webster, Massachusetts. Born June 13th in the year 1994 this clearly magnificent person currently attends Nichols College in Dudley, Ma. I live on campus strangely for someone from Webster but I do not have my license so no choice really.  I am a heavy gamer, lately on SWTOR(Star Wars The Old Republic)with a handful of friends. I am usually found hanging out with my primary gaming partner and best friend if you ever are looking for me.

 I am hoping to further my technological prowess with this course. Just because I hang out online does not mean I am up to speed with the things I need to know. I use Tumblr periodically so I would like to know how to work my tech easier so I can better use sites like that one, along with a few others. The blogging portion I find myself strangely interested in. Did not think I would be but we surprise ourselves all the time.

Going back to SWTOR that is lately one of my biggest interests. I try to keep up with their personal blog. This usually provides me with knowledge of the technical aspects of the game. Coming attractions, problems with their servers, and special quests that may be offered. As this is my primary interest as of late that is the blog I read the most.

My name is Danielle Kavey and I am from Milton, Massachusetts which is located about 10 minutes outside of Boston, which is why I am a huge Bruins fan and I love the New England Patriots, but as everyone knows they have recently let us all down in the playoff game this past Sunday. Milton is a little suburb town with a very small population of people who live in the community but everyone knows everyone and mostly everyone who lives there is close to one another like a family. Leading away from my home life, I am now currently a freshman at Nichols college whom is just trying to get past my second semester with flying colors and I am in hopes to someday soon figure out what the major of my choice is going to be. Right now I am deciding between Criminal Justice or Business Management, but I am also taking Intro to Hospitality this semester to try to figure out if that is something that I am interested in as well. Before I came to Nichols College I had a great job as a waitress at Applebee's and I think that the work experience that I obtained last year and this summer working there helped me immensely this semester with school, only because I already knew how to work with others and that helped me a lot with working with other students in group projects. This semester I am excited to be taking Digital Applications class and I hope to learn a lot about the computers that I hadn't already known before taking this course. I know I am infamous for having trouble using hardware and software technological based things so I am excited to learn more about that and become a master of computers. I am extremely excited about learning excel because that has always been something that I have never been very good at or understood clearly. Looking up blogs liek this one that I am supposed to be writing about I found a blog posted by ESPN sports http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/mlb_draft which is written about the recent MLB draft. I find this to be a credible blog because it is one person who is writing about this and because it is all his own thoughts and reasoning behind what he thinks will happen and why it should happen when the MLB is choosing their prospect rookie's for their teams this spring. He explains about the Jupiter Showcase that was held and mainly talks about a specific man who stood out while attending this showcase. I found this blog to be really interesting because I am a big baseball fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox!
