Atlantis at Paradise
Island, Bahamas

For any
of you who have yet to go to Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, I
suggest you go. I have been there two times and I absolutely love it. It is the
perfect Resort in the perfect vacation spot. The Hotel is massive and elegant
and the surrounding grounds are spectacular. The sun is always shining there and
it is tanning weather all year round. Paradise Island is part of the Bahamas
and is an island located right off the coast of Florida. As we flew into the
area the first thing I noticed was the crystal clear blue water. Here in Massachusetts
the beaches are nice, but the water never seems quite so blue. As we got off
the plane we entered paradise! We pulled our luggage through an airport that
had such a festive atmosphere. There was a band playing island music, and everyone
there was so nice and ready to help you with your belongings.
The
ride from the airport to Atlantis is a short thirty minute ride along the coast
of Nassau. You cross a picturesque bridge and end up on beautiful Paradise
Island. The Atlantis hotel occupies a large part of the island. There are an
endless amount of things to do at Atlantis. The hotel is completely ocean front
with beaches wherever you look. The water is as warm as bathtub water, quite
different from the cool water in Massachusetts. Within the Atlantis resort
there is a huge water park with many pools, water slides and water rides. My
goal the first time I went to Atlantis was to make sure I went on every
waterslide. I am not a scary ride or waterslide person but I accomplished my
goal. The scariest waterslide I did was called the Leap of Faith. It is a
waterslide that goes straight down and is about 4 stories high. When you
approach the bottom of the slide, it turns into an enclosed tube that goes
right through a tank filled with sharks. You are going so fast you don’t really
notice the sharks during the ride, but watching it after is amazing. Atlantis
is the perfect vacation spot for people of all ages. They have award winning
golf courses, a spa for massages and beauty treatments, restaurants of all
types, a fully equipped fitness center, tennis courts, shopping malls, rock climbing,
casinos, a theatre, water activities, and an aquarium. If you are not into any
of those activities it is also the perfect spot for site seeing. Chances of you
seeing a celebrity are pretty high. One activity I haven’t done yet at Atlantis is swim with the
dolphins. For me and my two sisters to do that would be very expensive.
Watching others do it had me dreaming of the day it would be my turn.
I hope
many people consider taking a trip to the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island.
It will be your dream vacation just as it has been mine. Beautiful beaches will
just be the start of your wonderful vacation here. It is definitely my favorite
spot in the world. Once you give it a try I think it may be yours as well.
Rachel, I became extremely jealous by reading your blog about the Bahamas, because I have never been fortunate enough to go!Just looking at the pictures make me want to go! Everything that you mentioned about the vacation spot seems so perfect, especially the clear blue water. I love warm weather and love going to the beach. If the beaches here had warm water they would be perfect! Not sure what I'm doing here in Massachusetts, I hate this weather.I also really enjoy going to waterparks, I have been to a couple big waterparks in Florida. Atlantis sounds like alot of fun, how is the food there? Do they have more to do than just the beech? I'm guessing they have a bunch of clubs! Reading this blog makes me realize how much I am missing out on here in New England! I definitely am going to look into taking a trip to Atlantis, the only problem is that I will never want to leave!
ReplyDeleteI have to start out by saying i wish i could go to the Bahamas and vacation there, but i couldnt afford that if i tried. the place looks beautiful and i feel like going to a place like that will be so relaxing that i would never want to leave. after reading about all the things to do i almost started to call my mom and have her try to get me there. the water looks amazing and i usually dont swim in ocean water or lakes because i am a germ a phobic but this water looks like something i could see myself swimming in. from the look of the hotel i dont think i would want to leave the water parks and pools and slides, this place looks crazy and also very expensive. How is the food there, and what is the night life there like and are there alot of things to do other then going to tan on the beach.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Atlantis, Bahamas! The Bahamas might be my favorite place in the world! I haven't been there since freshman year of high school, but it seems from the way you described it, it has stayed the same. I was so afraid to go on the leap of faith when I was down there, so I just watched everyone go on it instead. The ocean is so clear and amazing there I never wanted to leave it! Im supposed to go back this summer, and Im so excited! You're blog is amazing and you described the Bahamas perfectly!
