TLC Review

TLC is short for The Laser Center, which is where LASIK eye surgery is performed. On January 18th, my mom and I both had LASIK eye surgery performed by the TLC located in Providence, RI.
This was the best thing that I ever experienced. Having glasses since I was in the second grade was such a hassle to me, and although I had contacts, I always had issues with them.
TLC makes sure that they test you're eyes to see if you are compatible for the LASIK surgery, or the PRK surgery, which is just slightly different then LASIK. The requirements ensure success during the procedure. They want to make sure that nothing will go wrong, and they make sure that you are one hundred percent sure of the risks that come along with the surgery.

Go from this...
to this!
Although there are some risks, all I have heard from others who have had the surgery done are such great things. On the TLC website, there are reviews from other people who have had the procedure done, such as Patrick Houghton from Chicago. He states, “It has only been 24 hours since my LASIK procedure and everything I see is crystal clear. I am truly amazed." Which it is, truly amazing that they can fix your vision so quickly!
The procedure only lasts a total of twenty minutes, but total laser time may only be fifteen seconds per eye. You are awake during the surgery, which may freak some people out, but you are given Valium to relax you, and numbing drops are put in your eyes so that you can barely feel anything.
Although you can go to many different companies, or places to have this surgery done, TLC seems the best. This is because they offer you a free consultation to see if LASIK surgery is right for you. They also offer lifetime enhancements free of charge, except if you need a surgical fee. This reassures people that even if their eyes change and revert to being a little unclear, TLC will make your vision clear again with a free enhancement. Why would you go anywhere else, when you don’t know if this could happen to you?

  1. Mandy,

I think it’s great that you had this surgery done! I also like the fact that you and your mom did it together. It’s great that you are now able to see clearly and that something like this is possible for people’s sight. I know so many people who have had this done and they feel the exact way you do. They say it’s the best thing they have ever done for themselves. I feel like this is an amazing thing they have discovered and performed. Sight is one of the most important things and its great there are doctors who are able to help people see.
I feel like this surgery would freak me out because you are awake during it! Thank god it’s a quick surgery; it must have been very uncomfortable for you. I have been blessed with twenty-twenty vision, but if I needed glasses I would definitely consider this option! It seems like it’s a life changing opportunity!
