Tips on becoming more healthy

Many people think that you are going to become healthy by eating a few good things every here an there and they are going to stay in shape. Most people do not realize how hard you have to work at being healthy. You have to eat the proper foods all the time and work out daily, eating a few fruits and running a mile is not enough to stay healthy and in great shape you have to go above and beyond to be healthy. Being healthy is not something you can do sometimes, its a lifestyle and a lot of people don't realize it. The road to being healthy starts with going to see your doctor about being unhealthy, they can help you figure out a plan in which you can start becoming healthy. Once you figure out your diet plan you can check out websites online about keeping track of eating habits, and count of the things your eating. These websites will make sure you are getting your daily calories and that you are not eating too many foods that are bad for your health. Another huge step in staying healthy is going to the gym or doing some great workouts. Many people do not realize how helpful a gym can actually be, going to the gym and doing something as simple as swimming or playing basketball. I dont feel that running 5 miles everyday is needed to stay healthy, but if you go in the gym and get a good sweat in on the daily basis you are going to stay healthy. Some of the major gyms around are L.A. Fitness, Work Out World , YMCA. Being healthy is not hard but i feel like living in America makes it twice as hard as it really is, with all the fast food, and devices that are taking over are lives. i think that the invention of gaming systems, and all the other cool things that make it okay for us to sit on our butts and do nothing have just ruined the health generation after generation. if we but the electronics down and get to the gym then you are already on the right road to being healthy.

  1. I agree heavily with what Jalen stated. I agree that being healthy is a life -style and not just a thing you can pick up every now and then like a bad habit. Being healthy means being driven to go and get a good sweat and push your limits a little bit to see where you are at physically, which can lead to mental benefits. Doctors have proven that someone with an active lifestyle most of the time will live a longer, less stressful, healthier life. I myself am not the type to go to the gym everyday but I do pay attention to what I eat to ensure that I obtain enough vitamins and nutrients to build up my immune system to fight off sickness’s that bread at colleges like ours. Thanks to Jalen everyone who reads his blog they now can get helpful information on how to be healthier and how to stay healthy.

  2. This was something good to write about, because a lot of people like to eat healthy and be in shape. Personally I like to eat all different kinds of foods, but eating healthy always makes me feel better about myself. I also love going to the gym on a daily basis and getting a good workout. I agree when Jalen said that you don't have to go to the gym and run five miles to get a good workout, as long as you get a good sweat then you know you had a good workout. Even if that means going to play a pickup game of basketball game with your friends. It is all a good way to stay healthy and stay in shape.
