My Dream Vacation spot would have to be my house on
Fort Myers Beach in Florida. It’s located on the West coast of Florida and is a nice quiet reserved area. My family and I go down there once or twice a year during our school breaks to relax. Sometimes we drive which is absolute torcher, and other times we fly.
It’s become routine for our family when we get down there now. We spend every morning with a big breakfast, spend the day on the beach, come back to eat dinner, then head back out to watch the sunset. The island is very small so you can walk everywhere and it is so narrow you can live the furthest from the beach and still be a quarter mile away from it.
Another great spot to go is the boardwalk. It has all of the shops and a few restaurants. They also have entertainment like fire jugglers, magicians, and the occasional statue man. The boardwalk also has the best ice cream/ truffle shop where they make it all in front of you and you can watch the process. We usually spend our last night or two roaming the boardwalk and going into a few stores while eating ice cream.
My personal favorite part of the trip is the jet skiing. I go every year and it is so much fun. We can go all the way down and around the island. We do have to be careful for turtles and dolphins because they are very common and you don’t want to hit one, that’s for sure. Sometimes we do parasailing too. I don’t like heights so my sister does that instead of jet skiing.
The time we spend down there never seems to be long enough but there is always next year to revisit my favorite place to go. I will never let my parents sell that house.

ReplyDeleteI did not know you and your family have a house in Fort Myers! Having a house on the west coast of Florida must be awesome! I would love to have a vacation house to go to and relax. I would hope that you fly there more than you drive because driving for that long must be absolutely horrible. I like the routine you have of eating a big breakfast and spending the day on the beach! It sounds like my kind of vacation. It is also a plus that everything is local and in walking distance from you; that is very convenient. I am so jealous that you go jet skiing too! I have been once in my whole life, it must be so much fun to Jet Ski in that clear blue water. I have never been parasailing but I would love to! That seems like an awesome place to do it too.
